In the video, the channel's creators talk about speculation the series' "return to its roots" based off of statements made by Activision. The video then cuts to a set of six images sent to the channel anonymously that potentially reveal what a return to roots means for Call of Duty as well as a few more interesting details. Developers, Sledgehammer Games, seem to be taking cues from Battlefied One since the game takes us back to one of the World Wars, WWII to be exact
The images provided highlight soldiers during the Invasion of Normandy with the title, "Call of Duty: WII" in the series' signature font. This all but confirms that the next title will be set, at least mostly, during the WWII era. We also see multiple steelbook covers which could mean the game will be getting multiple collector's/special editions.
These leaks are to be taken with a grain of salt, since the sources, being an anonymous email and small YouTube channel, aren't exactly official or recognized. Based off of Activision's previous statements and the overall quality of the products in question, I'd say these leaks are going to turn out to be the real deal, and in that case I expect to see the game release in November this year, like the titles before it.
