- Star Wars Battlefront II:
The multiplayer will be a 20 v 20 affair with various classes being assigned various skills and weapons. This operates in the same way as Battlefield's system.
Seasonal, themed DLC will also be released, offering players free maps, skins, and weapons, allowing for a united player base.
Minor additions like mounts during matches, enhanced weapon fire, and graphic looks will be giving us the Star Wars game we deserved the first time around. Kudos to EA for addressing nearly every complaint that stemmed from the original title.
Bioware's new IP, Anthem, was a mysterious title originally teased through a trailer and website published last year. The initial trailer at EA's conference was similarly mysterious.
The featured trailer shows off a futuristic landscape in which players make use of futuristic suits of armor in order to battle threats like the monsters shown at the end of the trailer. Game play was held off until yesterday's Microsoft press conference, and showcased the multiplayer, mech-suit style of gameplay (more on this in a future article).
- A Way Out
The game will task players with escaping a prison and staying on the run by using clever cooperation and team work. The game is set to have a strong cinematic story with a lot of emotional payoff.
- Need For Speed: Payback
This is definitely a new take on the racing genre and I'm all for it.
- FIFA 18/Madden 18/NBA 18
EA's holy trinity of sports games get their annual iterations, with some substantial changes.
FIFA 18 has updated animations and skill moves that bring individual players' unique skills and styles to life. Story mode will also be returning, along with the ability to import your FIFA 17 story character.
Madden 18's most important addition is the "Longshot" story mode. Taking its cues from FIFA, players will take the role of a rookie, making his way to the big leagues.
NBA 18 will feature a new system for ball control, as players will use the sticks to control each arm individually. A new mode featuring street leagues will also be added.
- Battlefield 1: In The Name of The Tsar
More info on the DLC will be made available at Gamescom.
