OK so its been two weeks since I did my review on the RIG Surround from Plantronics, so far I'm starting to see some noticeable problems that is really starting to make me rethink my review regarding the headset itself in general. I mean it's a great headset with impeccable sound, but its comfort is so lacking that I'm starting to notice my ear battling to repair the damage the headset is doing to me as well as on top of my head, noticing scabs (formed by constant chafing) due to the lack of cushioning.
Now my previous headset the Gamecom had a great feel because it had enough cushioning around the ears as well as on the inner part of the headband where your scalp meets the top frame that I could sit literally for hours and game away with no problems.
Yes alright, new headsets do tend to do this kind of damage but not over a prolonged period of time. This headset still has great sound quality and enough bass to make you think you're really in the mist of a on going battle.
Don't take me all wrong here I love it, but this is getting close to my breaking limits, if the top of the headset had enough cushioning I'm sure I could take the ear eating but hell its kinda hard.
Waiting patiently for fibre to get installed at the house so I can do more than what I can do right now. Gotta get this headset off now or I'll throw this damn thing out the window.
