Yesterday, Blizzard released a trailer reflecting the first year of their mega-hit, Overwatch, and also announced the long-speculated anniversary event for the game. The trailer showcases everything from the activation of the servers on day one, to the fan following the game has attracted since its early lifecycle.
This would give players, like myself, who missed out on some events and event items, to catch up on some of the content they've been craving for the past year.
The event runs from 23rd May-2nd June, and will be released alongside the Game of The Year edition of Overwatch. The GOTY edition includes all the content from the Origins Edition of the game, five hero skins, and exclusive content for Blizzard's other titles, but also offers 10 additional lootboxes.
With the event and release of the GOTY, this is the perfect time for new players to enter the game, which shows no sign of slowing down anytime soon.
